NIHAP offers two certificates in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness:- Certificate in Basic Homeland Security
- Advanced Certificate in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness
Certificate in Basic Homeland Security
The certificate in Basic Homeland Security may be earned by participating:- In all sessions of the Annual National Conference on Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness presented by NIHAP
- Participating in one of NIHAP's regional workshops in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness offered throughout the United States at various times during the year
Cost of Certificate in Basic Homeland Security: $400.00 in addition to cost of Conference or Regional Workshops.

Cost of Completion of Introduction to Terrorism course: $850.00
Advanced Certificate in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness
The advanced certificate in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness may be earned by completing:- Requirements for the certificate in Basic Homeland Security
- The additional 15 credits of specialization coursework at Nova Southeastern University offered through its MS in Education with a specialization in Homeland Security and Anti-terrorism Preparedness degree
